Russia intensifies assault actions in Kursk

Russia is strengthening its assault actions in Kursk by sending more troops there.

In the Sumy region, the situation is tense due to the active actions of the enemy

The 'Steel Border' brigades continue to perform tasks in the northern Slobozhansky direction, particularly in Sumy region. The press service chief emphasized that the situation in the region is tense, especially in the Kursk direction in the areas of Fetin and Yunakiv communities.

'In these areas, the enemy is accumulating the largest number of military personnel, approximately 50 thousand are currently concentrated in this direction. And it's here that the enemy conducts constant assault actions. Over the last day, we had seven encounters, all of which were repelled. Defenders are doing everything possible and impossible to hold back the enemy in the Kursk direction'
— emphasized Ivan Shevtsov.

In other areas of Sumy region, the enemy is not conducting active offensive actions, but constantly shells them using artillery, aerial bombs, as well as strike and reconnaissance drones.

It should be noted that a few days ago Ivan Shevtsov mentioned that Russia increased the movement of troops towards the Kursk direction.

The Sumy region suffers from shelling — yesterday, August 18, civilian objects and non-residential buildings came under attack from Russia.

Summary: In the Kursk region, Russia has intensified assault actions and is sending more troops there, while the Kursk direction in Sumy region shows the highest accumulation of enemy troops, as well as constant active actions from Russia.
