Russians shelled the historic center of Kherson: fires broke out.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of September 24, Russian forces attacked the historic part of Kherson, leading to fires and significant damage to buildings. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the head of the Kherson Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.
“This night, the historic part of Kherson suffered. The enemy deliberately targeted the old buildings. The houses have been significantly damaged. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out,” Shanko noted.
No casualties
Shanko also reported that there were no casualties, although one resident managed to escape from the fire in their own home. Social workers from the Kherson City Military Administration examined all the affected buildings and provided residents with necessary consultations.
Constant shelling
It is reported that on August 31, Russian troops shelled the center of Kherson, resulting in several injuries. Around 10:00 AM, the Russians attacked the Central District of Kherson with artillery fire, and one of the medical institutions was also hit. As a result, a 54-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
The shelling of the historic part of Kherson led to fires and serious destruction, but there were no casualties. This is not an isolated case; Russian troops regularly shell the center of Kherson, jeopardizing the safety of local residents and the historical heritage of the city.
This situation underscores the ongoing danger to the population of Kherson, which suffers from constant attacks. The shelling, affecting both residential buildings and cultural monuments, poses a serious threat to the peaceful lives of residents and the preservation of the city's history.
