Kharkiv Comes Under Attack on April 2
According to TSN.ua: On April 2, Russian forces used jet-powered drones to strike Kharkiv for the first time. Local reports indicate that the city faced 11 attacks since the start of the day, resulting in casualties. Among the injured are two women, aged 61 and 52, who are currently receiving medical treatment.
Mayor of Kharkiv Weighs In
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the majority of enemy drones deployed in the assault were jet-propelled. He also noted that there could have been more impacts, but thanks to coordinated efforts by the military, some of the enemy drones were intercepted. As of 4:00 PM, additional enemy drones were detected in the city’s outskirts, potentially heading toward Kharkiv.
This attack marks a significant escalation in the conflict, showcasing Russia’s use of advanced warfare technology. Kharkiv, one of Ukraine’s largest cities, continues to face severe threats to its civilian population, underscoring the challenges Ukrainian forces encounter in maintaining security.
