Russian strategic bomber spotted over the Black Sea: why this is an exceptional event.
A Russian was recently spotted over the Black Sea. Such aircraft are very rare in this region. The appearance of the 'tushka' is considered an unusual situation.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk discussed this during the national telethon .
According to him, in recent days there has been increased activity of Russian aircraft and drones over the Black Sea. However, this time a strategic bomber, likely a Tu-22M3, was noticed, marking its first appearance in the sky over the sea in a long time. Dmytro Pletenchuk noted that such an appearance is an exceptional event.
'Strategic aviation does not appear here often. I cannot even recall the last time we saw them here', Pletenchuk said.
He mentioned that previous instances involved carriers of hypersonic missiles 'Kinzhal', but even then, such aircraft flew not so much because of the threat to Ukraine, but rather as a show of force towards the Mediterranean.
'Back then, they were carriers of 'Kinzhal'. Mostly, these were signals not even for us, but for events in the Mediterranean', the spokesman clarified.
The current appearance of a strategic aircraft over the Black Sea surprised even the military. At the same time, Pletenchuk noted that the situation is constantly changing and requires further monitoring and analysis.
'The situation is being analyzed. And we are always ready to respond to threats — both in the air and at sea', he added.
Meanwhile, according to Pletenchuk, the air situation remains complex. Russia has at least half a dozen airfields in temporarily occupied Crimea from which aircraft are deployed daily.
It should be noted that Russian occupiers sold the Yalta port for a pittance to Putin's friend. We also reported that the Ukrainian military intelligence received a unique array of secret documents about the latest nuclear submarine of the Russian Federation 'Prince Pozharsky'.
Ukrainian military officials recorded the Russian strategic bomber over the Black Sea, an event characterized as exceptional. This appearance surprised the defense forces, emphasizing the instability of the situation in the region and the need for enhanced monitoring. The transition zone with the Black Sea remains tense, requiring constant oversight from Ukrainian forces.
