Ukrainian Military Reports 1,700 Drones, 100 Missiles, and 1,300 Bombs Launched by Russia in One Week.
Russian Military Strikes Across Ukraine
According to UATV: Russian forces have intensified their assault on Ukraine, deploying a massive arsenal over the past week. According to data from the Ukrainian General Staff, this included the launch of over 1,700 drones, 100 missiles, and nearly 1,300 guided aerial bombs. These attacks are part of the ongoing, large-scale aggression against Ukrainian territory, which has seen a significant escalation in the use of long-range and precision weaponry.
Since the conflict began, Russian troops have carried out nearly 35,000 attacks using drones, missiles, and guided bombs. The intensity has surged in recent months; over the past winter quarter alone, more than 14,670 guided bombs were dropped, alongside 738 missiles and nearly 19,000 attack drones. These figures highlight a sustained and brutal campaign that continues to endanger civilian lives and infrastructure across the country.
Recent Attacks and Their Impact
On February 28, Russian forces carried out concentrated strikes on the Kyiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions. These assaults are the latest demonstration of the aggressive tactics employed by the Russian military, which frequently target both frontline areas and population centers far from the front lines.
“Ukrainians are living under thousands of Russian strikes from various types of weapons.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
President Zelenskyy also emphasized national resilience, stating, “Despite everything, Ukrainians have endured this difficult winter.” He underscored the necessity of confronting aggression globally, adding, “Evil must be countered in any part of the world.” This reflects Ukraine's firm stance on defending its sovereignty and the broader principle of resisting unprovoked invasion.
Amid the relentless attacks, Ukraine's defense forces continue their missions to protect the country. The security situation remains critically tense, with the high intensity of Russian strikes posing a grave threat to military personnel and civilians alike. This ongoing escalation underscores the urgent need for sustained international support as Ukraine fights to preserve its territorial integrity and democratic future.
