Russians rarely launch Kalibrs from the Black Sea: Ukrainian Navy named the reason.
According to inkorr.com: The Armed Forces of Ukraine's Naval Forces reported that Russian missile carriers have become significantly less active in the Black Sea. Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk emphasized this during a TV marathon.
According to him, in July, the RF launched 'Kalibrs' from the Black Sea once, twice in August, and once in September. 'This may indicate that they themselves understand the low effectiveness of using these weapon systems or they have certain difficulties in their application,' he noted.
Pletenchuk also explained that after the 'Web' operation in June, the Russians tried to improve their capabilities for air strikes, thus the missile carriers in the Black Sea were most active during that period.
Missile Situation
Despite this, the effectiveness of Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea remains low — 14 of the last 16 missiles launched were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense system.
According to the spokesman of the Navy of Ukraine, the RF in Crimea mainly has supply ships and patrol boats that do not have combat orientation. Other ships of the Black Sea Fleet were moved to the port of Novorossiysk. In the Black Sea, the Russians have five ships and three submarines armed with cruise missiles. Occupiers often use a tactic where two ships enter the water area, fire, and return back to the bay.
According to information from the Naval Forces of Ukraine, the activity of Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea has significantly decreased. This may be related to the loss of most missiles by the Ukrainian air defense system and the RF's attempts to restore their capabilities after military operations. The Russians actively support ships and submarines armed with cruise missiles in the Black Sea, but their overall activity remains low, claim the Ukrainian military.
These statements reflect a change in the strategy of the Russian military in the Black Sea and confirm the effectiveness of Ukrainian air defense. The reduction in activity may indicate the losses suffered by the occupiers and difficulties in planning their offensive operations. The Ukrainian military continues to carefully monitor the situation in the region to respond promptly to any changes.
