According to UATV: On March 11, Russian occupying forces launched an airstrike against Zaporizhzhia and its surrounding region, injuring 11 people, including two children. Preliminary reports indicate the attack occurred in the afternoon and involved the use of KAB-series guided aerial bombs. The assault resulted in damage to 33 residential buildings, comprising nine multi-story apartment blocks and 24 private houses.

Authorities reported extensive damage to private homes. Vladimir Volobuev noted that

"the strike, preliminarily assessed as involving a KAB munition, damaged private houses. An inspection was conducted. We recorded blown-out windows, shattered roofs, and damaged internal utilities"
.
