Russian Attacks in Kherson Region Result in Civilian Deaths and Injuries

According to Novyny.live: Russian military strikes on Ukraine's Kherson and Beryslav districts have left one civilian dead and nine others wounded, including public utility workers. These attacks have inflicted severe consequences on the local population. The ongoing conflict continues to see frontline regions bear the brunt of the violence.

A 40-year-old man was killed in Antonivka on January 31 when an explosive device was dropped from a drone. Among the injured are:

  • A 59-year-old utility company employee wounded in the city of Kherson;
  • A 39-year-old man injured in Bilozerka;
  • A 36-year-old municipal service worker wounded in the 'Tavriiskyi' neighborhood.

On February 3, Russia launched a mass drone and missile strike across Ukraine, leading to further civilian casualties. According to Ukraine's National Police, these assaults persistently endanger the lives and safety of non-combatants in the region. The Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022, remains a frequent target for shelling and aerial attacks.

These incidents underscore the continuation of armed conflict in Ukraine and the persistent threats to civilians, especially in areas near the front lines. Strikes that hit not only military targets but also critical infrastructure highlight the severity of the humanitarian situation. Authorities and international organizations continue to call for a ceasefire and for the protection of civilian safety.
