Drone Attack on Odesa Region
According to Novyny.live: An early morning drone attack on February 26 damaged a key energy facility in Ukraine's Odesa region. Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that the assault caused a temporary power outage in the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. Air raid alerts were first issued from 04:09 to 06:59, with a new threat for the Izmail district emerging at 07:20; the all-clear was finally given at 08:02. These attacks are part of a sustained Russian campaign targeting Ukraine's civilian infrastructure, which has severely impacted energy supplies.
Attacks Across Other Ukrainian Regions
Other Ukrainian regions also came under fire. In Zaporizhzhia, one person was wounded, while in Kryvyi Rih, an 89-year-old man was injured due to Russian drone activity. These incidents underscore the ongoing threat Russian forces pose to civilians and critical infrastructure across the country.
Drone attacks continue to pose a severe threat to civilian safety and the operation of Ukraine's vital infrastructure. These events highlight the critical need for Ukrainian forces to remain prepared to counter such threats and to protect energy facilities. With the conflict ongoing, the civilian population remains highly vulnerable, demanding constant attention from state authorities and the international community.
