Journalists killed in Kramatorsk during drone strike

According to inkorr.com: As a result of a strike by the Russian drone 'Lancet' on a civilian car in Kramatorsk, journalist Aliona Hramova (Hubanova) from Freedom TV and operator Yevhen Karmazin were killed. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration Vadym Filashkin on Telegram.

From the first days, they covered the situation in the region, telling the truth about the enemy's crimes, the evacuation of civilians, and the stories of our defenders. It's hard to believe this could happen to them. This is a heavy loss for the region and all of us. Bright, dedicated, just, and honest. Olena and Yevhen will forever remain in our memory as such... Sincere condolences to their family, friends, and colleagues. Russia is a terrorist state and must pay for all its crimes!

The strike on the journalists' car was carried out by the Russian army on Thursday, October 23, according to the Facebook page of the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office. The incident resulted in the death of two media workers who were traveling in a modernized car.

Response from the President of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the attack by Russian forces that led to the death of the journalists. 'This is not an accident or a mistake, but a deliberate strategy of Russia aimed at silencing independent voices that report on war crimes,' the president emphasized.

Volodymyr Zelensky also noted that since the beginning of the Russian army's invasion of Ukraine, 135 media representatives have been killed. He urged the international community to support Ukraine's defense and to pressure Russia to end the conflict.
