Crimean Platform Summit, new financial assistance to Ukraine. Main news for September 11.
Representatives from over 60 countries gathered at the Kyiv Crimean Platform Summit. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he would first discuss the victory plan in the war with Russia with President of the United States Joe Biden. The summit also announced new military aid supplies from Croatia and Latvia.
The United States of America will provide Ukraine with more than $700 million in financial support. Part of these funds will be directed to strengthening the energy system, and the rest will be used to finance food, water, housing, and healthcare programs for Ukrainians.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy arrived in Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian officials. Diplomats will discuss issues of defense support for Ukraine and ensuring its military development.
According to The New York Times, North Korea continues to supply short-range ballistic missiles to Russia despite sanctions. A weapons research group identified missiles that were used during attacks in Ukraine.
A court has taken the suspect in the beating of a Ukrainian serviceman in Smila into custody.
