According to inkorr.com: The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau have intensified their actions by filing a lawsuit in the High Anti-Corruption Court regarding the assets of the head of the State Customs Service. These assets, exceeding 3.2 million hryvnias, are considered to have been obtained unlawfully based on collected evidence.
Investigation details
According to the investigation, the official and her family used a residential house and a land plot near Kyiv, although these assets were formally registered in the name of a close relative of the wife. A decision has already been made to arrest these assets, and the further development of the case will depend on the court's decision.
Suspicion of non-declaration
The acting head of the State Customs Service has also come under scrutiny by law enforcement due to suspicion of non-declaration of property, in particular, the house and land plot. According to the investigation, these assets worth over $100,000 were listed in the declaration in the name of the wife's father, although in reality, they belong to him and his family. The case is currently under consideration, and the prosecutor's office plans to take action if signs of corruption are detected.
The situation surrounding the head of the State Customs Service and his assets is part of a broader fight against corruption in Ukraine. The investigation carried out by anti-corruption bodies aims not only to punish the guilty but also to restore public trust in state institutions. Further court decisions may significantly influence the development of events in this case.
