The SBU suspects Russian generals of war crimes
The Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicion against two Russian generals and their subordinates for their involvement in the shelling of Okhtyrka. This was mentioned in an announcement published on the website of Glavkom, citing information from the SBU press center. SBU specialists gathered data on the command of Russian troops responsible for committing war crimes in the Sumy region. In particular, the mass shelling of Okhtyrka that occurred on February 25, 2022, was initiated by Lieutenant General Sergey Kisilev, who headed the 1st Tank Army of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation.This information indicates serious allegations against the Russian military for committing war crimes.The Security Service of Ukraine has notified the suspects in absentia and continues the investigation to bring all those responsible to justice. As a result of the attack on Okhtyrka, nine people were killed, including one child, and another nine were injured. Law enforcement is currently continuing the investigation of this tragedy, which is part of the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
