The SBU destroyed Nebo-SVU and S-400 radars at Belbek airfield: details of the successful operation.
According to ТСН: This night, drones of the Special Operations Center 'Alpha' of the SBU successfully struck important elements of the Russian air defense at the military airfield in Belbek, located on the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula.
According to the security service, as a result of precise strikes, the following were destroyed:
two long-range radar detection systems 'Nebo-SVU' (cost of one – from $60 to $100 million);
Radar 92Н6, which is part of the S-400 'Triumph' anti-aircraft missile system (about $30 million for the domestic market, $60 million – export price);
the anti-aircraft missile system 'Pantsir-S2' ($12–19 million);
the aircraft MiG-31 with a full ammunition load ($30–50 million depending on the equipment).
The Security Service of Ukraine emphasizes that the destruction of these air defense elements significantly weakens the occupants' defenses in Crimea and opens new opportunities to strike important military and logistics targets of Russia on the peninsula.
It is reported that earlier the SBU together with the Navy conducted a successful operation in the port of Novorossiysk, resulting in a 'Varshavyanka' class submarine, worth about $400 million, receiving critical damage and losing the ability to launch 'Kalibr' missiles.
These successful strikes highlight the activity of Ukrainian forces in regaining control of the situation in Crimea, as well as their desire to disrupt the logistical chains of the Russian troops in the region. Actions of the SBU and the Navy indicate an increase in the intensity of operations which may significantly affect the course of the conflict.
