SBU detains Russian agent in Odesa: he was preparing a series of terrorist attacks.
Prevented a series of terrorist acts in Odesa
According to inkorr.com: The Security Service of Ukraine has blocked plans for terrorist attacks in Odesa by detaining a Russian agent who was preparing explosive devices for explosions in the port city. This was reported on the 'Glavcom' portal, citing information from the SBU.
The perpetrator was hiding ready explosives in caches on the Black Sea coast and transmitting their coordinates to Russian special services. Later, the executors of the terrorist acts would retrieve these devices and use them in various locations within the city. One of the participants in these activities was already detained in the summer when she attempted to detonate a shopping center in Odesa.
Detained agent
The police identified the Russian agent who was preparing explosives. He is a 60-year-old resident of Odesa, a former sailor who had previously cooperated with the FSB. His activities began while he was in Russia visiting his sister at the beginning of the war.
“At the FSB's request, the man returned to Odesa through third countries. Upon arrival in Odesa, he carried out the enemy’s tasks, manufacturing explosive devices and hiding them in designated locations,” the Security Service reported.
This situation underscores the ongoing threat of terrorist acts in Ukraine and the importance of the work of special services to prevent such crimes. The SBU continues to undertake security measures to protect the country from external and internal threats during wartime.
