Agents of the Russian Federation Apprehended
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has detained eight individuals suspected of working for Russia and registering Starlink satellite terminals for armed groups. The suspects range in age from 18 to 44. Among them are two mobilized citizens arrested in the Rivne region, as well as an 18-year-old resident of Volyn. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, authorities also took into custody two individuals with prior criminal records.
Threats to National Security
If convicted, the detainees could face prison sentences ranging from 10 years to life, along with confiscation of property. They are suspected of violating multiple articles of Ukraine’s Criminal Code, including:
- Article 111, Part 2 — high treason committed under martial law;
- Article 111-2, Part 1 — aiding and abetting an aggressor state;
- Article 408, Part 4 — desertion.
The uncovered evidence points to serious risks to Ukraine’s national security linked to the activities of these hostile state agents. The SBU continues its efforts to identify and neutralize such threats. This operation is part of a broader campaign to counter Russian aggression and defend Ukraine’s sovereignty.
This incident highlights the critical need to combat external threats amid the ongoing war. The SBU’s actions demonstrate the state’s proactive stance against enemy networks and reaffirm its commitment to safeguarding national interests.
Such arrests may serve as a warning to other potential wrongdoers that their activities will not escape the attention of law enforcement.
