Counterintelligence of the Security Service defeated an FSB agent network that was conducting reconnaissance of the Defense Forces' locations and important Ukrainian Railways facilities. This was reported by the SBU press service."As a result of a special operation in the Donetsk region and Odessa, three Russian agents were detained. These are a resident of Kramatorsk and two Odessans who supported ruscism," says the Security Service statement.According to the SBU, the detained agents, under FSB instructions, were secretly observing key railway stations used for transporting heavy weapons and ammunition to the front.In addition, one of the agents from the Donetsk region was tasked with identifying the positions of Ukrainian troops defending the Kramatorsk direction. For this, he visited settlements near the front line and asked local residents for reconnaissance information during regular conversations.The information obtained by the agents was transmitted to their Russian curator via messenger in the form of marks on Google maps with detailed descriptions. The agents' criminal activities were documented, and they were detained at their residences. During searches, mobile phones used to contact their Russian curator were seized.Security Service investigators informed two individuals of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason under martial law conditions). The actions of the third figure are classified under Part 3 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized disclosure of information regarding the movement or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations created under Ukrainian law, under martial law conditions) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All three are now held in custody. They face from 12 years of imprisonment to life imprisonment with confiscation of property.It is also worth mentioning that earlier the SBU completed primary investigative actions at the site of the rocket strike on the 'Ohmatdyt' children's hospital in Kyiv, which occurred on July 8. During the investigation, numerous fragments were found confirming the use of a Russian X-101 cruise missile.In addition, the State Bureau of Investigation announced suspicion of illegal enrichment to the former head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the SBU. This was reported by the SBI press service.The day before, the Security Service of Ukraine also detained a married couple and their accomplice who collected and passed information to Russian GRU about the locations of personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the right bank of the Kherson region.
