Another airline has announced a reduction in the number of flights to Russia.

Uzbek airline Qanot Sharq reports that from January 20 to March 6, it is reducing the number of flights to Russian cities Moscow and St. Petersburg. The reason for this decision is scheduled maintenance of Airbus A320 aircraft.

The company will suspend some flights to Moscow from Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, and Fergana, as well as flights to St. Petersburg from Samarkand and Namangan. Some flights between Tashkent and Samarkand will also be canceled from January 22 to March 5.

This is already the seventh airline that is suspending flights to Russia. Earlier, this was done by Azerbaijan Airlines, El Al, Qazaq Air, FlyDubai, Azimuth, and Turkmenistan.

Airlines began to halt flights after the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines plane in Kazakhstan. However, not all airlines attributed this accident as the reason for stopping flights.

The Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation states that the plane was damaged by Russian military, but instead of making an emergency landing in Grozny, it was sent to Kazakhstan, which led to the crash. The head of Rosaviation believes that the accident was caused by dense fog and invisibility at an altitude of 500 meters, but this statement contradicts the remarks of the Center for Countering Disinformation and reports from experts.
