Shevchenko warmly congratulated his mother on her birthday.

The President of the Football Association of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko congratulated his mother on her birthday. He published a photo on social media in which he hugs Lyubov Mykolaivna. In his post, Shevchenko wrote a congratulatory text in Ukrainian and English.

“My dear mother, Happy Birthday! Thank you for everything, we love you,” – the post reads.

Andriy Shevchenko became the president of the Football Association of Ukraine in January 2021. He was elected at an extraordinary UAF Congress as the lone candidate, as there were no other contenders.

Prior to this, Shevchenko was a coach at Genoa and worked with the Ukrainian national team, leading them to the quarter-finals of Euro 2020. He also won the „Ballon d'Or“ in 2004 and holds the title of Hero of Ukraine. In May 2022, Shevchenko became an ambassador for the “United24” project, which supports Ukraine.

Andriy Shevchenko's wife, Kristen Pazik, also posted on social media congratulating their son, Christian, on his 18th birthday. She thanked him for all the shared moments and said she has been on unforgettable adventures with him since the day he was born.

It is worth noting that Shevchenko's son, Christian, has received Ukrainian citizenship. Christian is also passionate about football and plays for the Ukraine U-19 national team.

Andriy Shevchenko also gained recognition in Italy, where he played for AC Milan from 1999 to 2006. He was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame for his achievements.
