Ukraine’s Deep Strike Campaign Against Russian Military Assets

According to UATV: Ukraine is pressing forward with its deep strike campaign against military targets within Russia, a direct response to Moscow’s aggression. Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga confirmed this, emphasizing that Kyiv is systematically scaling up its deep-strike operations against legitimate targets on the aggressor state’s soil.

In the early hours of March 21, 2023, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck facilities at the Saratov Oil Refinery in Russia’s Saratov region. Sibiga noted that Ukrainian capabilities now allow forces to hit objectives thousands of kilometers deep inside enemy territory.

“Today, Ukraine’s capabilities enable us to reach targets thousands of kilometers into the aggressor’s territory,” said Andriy Sibiga.

Escalation and Its Consequences

The minister stressed that Ukraine’s approach in this campaign is strictly pragmatic, arguing that “it is far more effective to destroy sources of terror before they can act.” As a result, Russian officials are now forced to acknowledge the obvious: “there are no longer any safe places in Russia.” This situation underscores Ukraine’s active response to Russian threats, leveraging its military assets to defend its territory and ensure the safety of its citizens.

The intensification of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia signals an escalation in the conflict, with both sides striving to showcase their military strength. Strikes on Russian installations could prompt a shift in Moscow’s strategy, as mounting pressure and the threat of Ukrainian attacks deep within its borders may jeopardize the security of both military and civilian infrastructure.

This also highlights Ukraine’s readiness to retaliate against aggression, a stance that could carry strategic implications for both nations as the conflict evolves.
