Sybiga prevents concessions to the Russian Federation

The Foreign Minister emphasized that no honors or gifts to the aggressor can appease him. Only strength and unity can force Russia to end the war. Every concession provokes further aggression. In this context, Ukraine firmly stands for the defense of principles and values, together with American and European partners, adhering to international law and the UN Charter.

We remind you that on August 15, a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will take place in Alaska. The White House is considering the possibility of inviting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the summit as well.

A trilateral meeting of representatives from Ukraine, Europe, and the US took place in the UK to discuss a joint strategy in negotiations. After this meeting, EU leaders noted the main condition for a ceasefire in Ukraine - no concessions to Russia's demands regarding the territories of 4 regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

During his address, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry warned Western partners about the dangers of concessions to Russia, stressing the importance of strength and unity in countering aggression. He also reminded about the upcoming meeting of Trump and Putin, highlighting the conditions for a ceasefire in Ukraine and the importance of maintaining unity among international partners.
