Ukrainian drones struck the Russian ship Hunter and an oil and gas platform in the Caspian Sea.
According to ТСН: On the night of December 19, the defense forces of Ukraine successfully hit the Russian military ship of project 22460 "Hunter".
This was reported by the General Staff.
"The ship was patrolling in the Caspian Sea near the oil and gas extraction platform. Several Ukrainian drones hit this ship. The degree of damage and the ship's hull number are being clarified,"
— reads the statement.
In addition, the drilling platform at the Filanovsky oil and gas field, owned by the company "Lukoil", was also hit. This platform provides oil and gas extraction and supports the Russian armed forces.
"In order to reduce the enemy's offensive capabilities, the radar system RSP-6M2 was recently hit in the area of Krasnosilsky in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea. RSP-6M2 is designed to regulate the movement of aircraft, including for precision landing in conditions of poor visibility,"
— added the agency.
It is reminded that on December 15, the press service of the SBU informed that the underwater drones Sub Sea Baby blew up the Russian submarine of the 636.3 class "Varshavyanka" as a result of a unique special operation in the port of Novorossiysk.
These events indicate that Ukrainian forces continue to actively counter the Russian military fleet and the infrastructure that supports military operations. Successful strikes on ships and platforms in the Caspian Sea underscore the importance of modern technologies in warfare and a strategic approach to carrying out combat missions.
