In the area of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops repelled an enemy advance that involved large groups of infantry and dozens of units of armored vehicles from the Russian forces. This was reported by representatives of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who published a video of the combat results.

The invaders from Russia launched a massive assault, taking advantage of deteriorating weather conditions. They moved in columns one after the other.

Despite the snow and limited visibility, reconnaissance found the enemy still at the approaches. Soldiers of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade, along with neighboring units, launched a systematic attack on enemy forces.

«Several enemy armored vehicles escaped by fleeing, the rest remained on the battlefield, overgrown with rust. The enemy infantry was shelled,» the brigade reported.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated an entire company of infantry from North Korea in the Kursk region.

It is worth noting that the advance of Russian occupiers in Ukraine slowed down at the moment when U.S. President Donald Trump began emphasizing negotiations to end the war.

Liberation of the village of Pishchane

Moreover, the village of Pishchane, located 5 kilometers south of Pokrovsk, became free as a result of battles that took place from February 2 to 6. During the operation, over 80 Russian occupiers from the 74th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces were destroyed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also suffered losses, but they were significantly less than those of the Russians.

Earlier, soldiers of the 68th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush conducted a provocative operation in one of the hottest front-line areas.

Additionally, the Russians in the Pokrovsk direction lack resources to implement their tactics of direct assaults. Major Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Khortytsia', reported on this.
