Ongoing Offensive Operations by Ukraine's Defense Forces

According to UATV: Ukraine's defense forces are maintaining their offensive campaign in temporarily occupied territories, hitting key enemy military assets. In a recent operation near Kerch, a patrol vessel of Project 10410, known as the 'Svetlyak' class, was successfully struck—marking the second time a ship of this type has been targeted in recent weeks.

Blow to Russia's Naval and Rail Infrastructure

Meanwhile, in the Luhansk region, a railway bridge crossing the Bila River near the village of Sabivka came under attack. Additionally, Ukraine's unmanned systems forces have reportedly hit 13 vessels belonging to Russia's so-called shadow fleet operating in the Black and Azov Seas. The damaged ships include:

  • eight cargo ships,
  • one tanker,
  • one gas carrier,
  • one tugboat, and
  • two floating cranes.

These strikes demonstrate Ukraine's continued military pressure on both maritime and land fronts against Russian forces.

These developments highlight the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in executing strategic attacks on enemy military infrastructure, which could significantly shift the regional power balance. Targeting Russian ships and naval vessels shows that Ukraine is rapidly adapting to modern warfare technologies, particularly through the use of drones and other advanced systems. This also points to serious vulnerabilities in Russia's ability to protect its maritime routes and logistics chains.
