General Syrskyi’s Visit to the Kostiantynivka Axis

According to UATV: On July 20, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, traveled to the Kostiantynivka frontline sector to hold a strategy meeting with local commanders. The discussion centered on deploying drones to intensify firepower against enemy positions. Syrskyi described the area as

“one of the hottest sectors of the front.”

Battlefield Update

Russian forces are currently launching up to 20 daily assaults along this axis. Intelligence indicates that around 145 Russian troops have massed in the Kostiantynivka area. On July 18 alone, the invaders lost 21 soldiers killed and 6 wounded, while Ukrainian forces destroyed 6 enemy bunkers. Across the entire front, Russia’s daily casualties reached 1,600 personnel.

  • 82 pieces of enemy artillery were taken out of action;
  • 1,769 enemy drones were destroyed;
  • 9 ground robotic systems were eliminated.

These figures highlight the intensity of Ukrainian operations against Russian aggression on the Kostiantynivka axis.

Syrskyi’s visit underscores the Ukrainian military command’s heightened focus on this strategically vital region. The emphasis on drone warfare suggests a tactical shift to better match the demands of modern combat. The sustained enemy pressure and heavy Russian losses confirm that control of this sector remains a critical objective for both sides in the conflict.
