Shift in Drone Warfare Strategy

According to Espreso.tv: Recent reports highlight a significant change in how Shahed drones are being deployed during attacks, alongside explanations for why ballistic threat alarms sometimes trigger late. According to Serhii Beskrestnov, a presidential advisor on defense technology development, enemy drones are moving away from mass swarms toward single, highly complex strikes conducted under manual control. This allows them to drop as low as 22 meters in altitude to strike targets with greater precision.

Air Raid Alarms and Their Triggers

Beskrestnov also noted that the ballistic threat alarm occasionally sounds only after a missile has already hit. Data regarding launches or preparations for them is provided by international partners.

“The idea was to evade our radar systems and interceptors. But our guys handled it. Every move the enemy makes requires us to rapidly adapt our countermeasures.”

Serhii Beskrestnov, Presidential Advisor

This tactical shift in drone usage reflects an evolution in the adversary's military strategies, demanding that Ukrainian forces respond and adapt quickly to emerging challenges. The emphasis on coordinating with international partners for threat intelligence also underscores the need for collective efforts to maintain security. These developments could significantly shape the future trajectory of the conflict and Ukraine's defensive planning.
