Syrsky congratulated Ukrainians on Territorial Defense Day.
Today, October 6, Ukrainians celebrate Territorial Defense Day. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, congratulated everyone on this holiday.
«Dear combat comrades and sisters! I sincerely congratulate you on the Territorial Defense Day of Ukraine», – stated the commander-in-chief.
Syrsky noted that during the Russian aggression, different people, regardless of age, profession, and experience, participated in the defense of Ukraine. Among them are farmers, teachers, businessmen, actors, journalists, builders, programmers, scientists, and others who joined the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces.
The units and parts of the Territorial Defense Forces have been fighting since the beginning of the Russian invasion near Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and many other Ukrainian cities and villages.
Further, thousands of Ukrainian defenders from territorial defense battalions and brigades from all over the country went to the east and south to repel the Russian offensive.
Syrsky emphasized that the territorial defense warriors prove their effectiveness and skill in battles on the front's hot zones.
«Soldiers, sergeants, and officers of the Territorial Defense Forces are forever remembered in the memory of every Ukrainian. Honor and glory to those who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the Motherland. I wish you strong health, spirit strength, and unquenchable energy! Glory to the warriors of the Territorial Defense Forces», – added Syrsky.
Earlier, Syrsky visited one of the most intense front lines.
Also, an officer of the Armed Forces told how Syrsky differs from Zaluzhny.
