Oleksandr Syrskyi: Russian Forces Suspended Their Advance in the Dobropilskiy Direction

According to inkorr.com: The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that after the successful actions of Ukrainian forces in the Dobropilskiy direction, the enemy decided to suspend its advance in the Novopavlivskyi direction. He noted that the presence of Russian units there is 'declarative.' This information was published by the 'Hlavkom' portal, citing the general's words.

The 'Thousand Cuts' Method in the Novopavlivskyi Direction

Syrskyi also explained that the enemy in the Novopavlivskyi direction is using the 'thousand cuts' tactic for gradual advancement of its forces deep into the territory. He clarified that their goal is merely to demonstrate their presence and raise a flag over a settlement building. The situation in the region is dynamic, but both sides are facing a shortage of troops. Russian forces in the area are numerically superior; however, they lack the resources for an active offensive.

Ukraine's Defense in the Novopavlivskyi Direction

The Commander-in-Chief noted that the enemy has been trying to strengthen its positions in the Novopavlivskyi direction by redeploying naval infantry units from the Sumy direction. This was aimed at breaking through the Ukrainian defense and potentially advancing into the Zaporizhzhia or Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Russia carried out airstrikes on the Zaporizhzhia region and other areas

In recent days, there have been about 200 combat clashes; the enemy has carried out 59 airstrikes and dropped 109 guided bombs. Additionally, the Russians conducted 4396 shellings and used 4774 kamikaze drones to attack Ukrainian positions.

It is important to note that Russia is trying to exaggerate its successes on the front in Ukraine by spreading information about control over larger territories than is actually the case.

The statements by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasize changes in the tactics of Russian troops in the Novopavlivskyi direction and the escalation of the conflict. Syrskyi's address contributes to a better understanding of the situation on the front and current events in this region.
