Ukrainian military regulates the situation in Makaryvka

The Ukrainian security forces are conducting an operation to stabilize the Makaryvka area in Donetsk region to prevent attempts by the Russian army to encircle Ukrainian forces.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, Vladislav Voloshin, on the air of 'Radio Liberty'.

According to him, Ukrainian defenders are currently actively working to restore their positions and carrying out defensive measures.

'The Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting stabilization measures, trying to restore our positions and prevent the encirclement of our forces. There is currently active defense, a defensive operation is underway. Its consequences and results will be known later,' Voloshin noted.

A representative of the Defense Forces emphasized that although the situation is complex, it is not hopeless.

It should be noted that earlier this week, media reported information about a possible complete encirclement of Makaryvka, which is located south of Velyka Novosilka. This information was based on an analytical map by experts from the 'Deep State' platform but was later refuted by the command of the operational-strategic grouping of troops 'Khortytsia'.

Earlier, Voloshin warned about a large enemy offensive in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
