A few positive decisions of international arbitrations have already been made in favor of Ukraine for a total of 6.9 billion dollars.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Facebook that these decisions concern the cases against Russian Gazprom.
Cases against Gazprom
The meeting of Zelensky with the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Serhiy Koretsky, took place as part of the preparation for a meeting with Ukrainian ambassadors. The ways of executing the arbitration decisions in favor of Ukraine were discussed.
'We already have a few positive decisions of international arbitrations for a total of 6.9 billion dollars. These are absolutely fair decisions that demonstrate the responsibility of Russia and Gazprom and affirm the strength of international law. We are preparing concrete steps to collect these funds, and tomorrow Ukrainian ambassadors will receive the appropriate instructions.'
It is noted that the preparation for the new heating season and coordination with partners from Europe and international financial organizations were also discussed.
In June, the International Tribunal ordered Gazprom to pay 1.37 billion dollars in favor of Ukraine. In addition, the German company Uniper also won the arbitration against Gazprom.
