Shmyhal met with Syrskiy and Hnatov — what they talked about.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, held his first working negotiations on Friday, July 18. He met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskiy, and the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Andriy Hnatov. He announced this on Telegram.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation at the front line, enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities, and the current needs of the Armed Forces. 'We are preparing new shipments of weapons for our defenders, particularly with the support of international partners. It is important that any offensive attempts by the enemy are thwarted by the might of the Ukrainian army,' emphasized Shmyhal.
The Minister of Defense noted that the department would focus on implementing the specified tasks to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
Let us recall that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, also held a meeting with the newly appointed Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal, on the same day. During the meeting, the head of state listened to the report from the head of the defense agency regarding the status of implementing previously reached agreements.
