Zelensky on the peace plan: The Russian Federation is looking for reasons to refuse, but the pressure is insufficient.
According to ТСН: The Russian Federation is constantly looking for reasons to avoid accepting the peace plan regarding Ukraine.
The word of the President of Ukraine
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a communication with journalists.
“My answer is very simple: if Ukraine shows its position, it is constructive, and Russia, for example, does not agree, it means that the pressure is insufficient,” he emphasized.
Plans for negotiations
Zelensky also added that he intends to discuss this issue with the President of the United States Donald Trump.
He noted that Ukraine has not yet received an official response from the Russian Federation to the updated peace plan. The President stressed that Kyiv rejects the Kremlin's conditions regarding the reduction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In particular, the issues of Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia NPP will be brought up for the next stages of discussion.
The head of state also reported that during the meeting with Trump, he plans to talk about security guarantees and the restoration of Ukraine. Zelensky noted that the 20-point peace plan is almost ready.
Ukraine continues to stubbornly defend its interests on the international stage, striving for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. Conversations with partners, in particular with the United States, are of great importance for obtaining support and security guarantees in a challenging international environment.
