What Ukrainians listened to in 2024. Ranking from Spotify and Apple Music.
Streaming services calculated which songs and artists were the most popular among Ukrainians in 2024. On Spotify and Apple Music, the most popular song was 'Teresa & Maria'.
Both services published reports for 2024. Spotify presented its traditional Wrapped section listing the most listened tracks of the year.
The Ukrainian playlist on Spotify was led by the composition 'Teresa & Maria', performed by alyona alyona and Jerry Heil at Eurovision-2024. The second and third places were occupied by the songs 'I Lied to You' and 'Find Me'. The top 10 also included a Russian-speaking song by the Ukrainian hip-hop performer KRBK.

Unlike Apple Music, Spotify created a list of popular Ukrainian performers, not all the songs that Ukrainians listened to on the platform.
We remind you that in September, streaming services published data showing that in Ukraine, 26% of popularity is occupied by Russian music, while Ukrainian music leads with a slight advantage at 39%. On average, as of early September 2024, the charts looked as follows: 39% Ukrainian songs, 34% foreign songs, 26% Russian songs.
Also, in January, as part of the daily broadcast review of 14 radio stations, the Secretariat of the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language recorded no instances of broadcasting Russian-language songs.
