Russia has changed its assault tactics: why losses of the occupiers have temporarily decreased.
Changes in the tactics of Russian troops: opinion of a military expert
According to FREEДOM: Recently, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of Russian occupiers on the front have significantly decreased - to 800-900 people per day. This may be related to changes in the opponent's tactics, particularly the abandonment of massive mechanized assaults in favor of small infantry group attacks. A military expert, Vladislav Seleznev, discussed this on the FREEDOM TV channel.
“The main problem that our units, primarily artillery ones, currently face is the concentration of Russian forces and means and the enemy's small infantry group attacks. Just six months ago, when we referred to the term ‘small infantry group,’ we meant 4 to 9 servicemen of the Russian army. Now, in fact, small infantry groups consist of two, at most three soldiers, who advance either by vehicle or on foot, overcoming the same kill zone,” explained Seleznev.
According to the expert, less military personnel are involved on the battlefield, and using large-scale artillery to hunt down small groups of 2-3 Russian soldiers is not very rational, Seleznev believes.
In his opinion, this situation will change soon, and the number of Russian losses will begin to rise dramatically.
“Many Russian Z-publics are already literally shouting that Ukraine is beginning to actively use antipersonnel weapons, including mine shells. As a country that announced its departure from the Ottawa Treaty on the prohibition of the use of antipersonnel mines, Ukraine has the right to use this component to ensure strategic defense. And, in principle, the first such alarming signals for the Russians are already present. I think this experience will expand to other areas of the front, which means that the number of Russian losses will increase,” explained the expert.
According to Seleznev, it will not be so much about Russian '200s,' that is, physically eliminated Russian servicemen, but rather about a large number of servicemen who were injured, including amputations due to contact with mine shells.
“Strengthening Ukrainian defensive lines and positions will allow us to maintain a fairly stable defense, and will again deprive the enemy of the illusion that they can radically change the situation on the battlefield, even having a sufficient number of troops and resources,” concluded the guest of the program.

Recall that over the past day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated 890 Russian soldiers at the front, as well as destroyed three armored vehicles and shot down 95 enemy drones.
The post Why the daily number of eliminated occupiers has decreased was explained by the military expert appeared first on Freedom.
During the program, the military expert discussed changes in the tactics of Russian troops that led to a decrease in losses in the regiment from Ukrainian forces. The expert believes that in the future, Russian losses may begin to rise dramatically due to new defense methods, such as the use of antipersonnel mines.Read also
