HUR destroyed unique Russian amphibious aircraft Be-12 in Crimea: operation details
Yesterday, September 21, special forces of the Main Directorate of Intelligence 'Ghosts' carried out an attack on two Russian anti-submarine amphibious aircraft Be-12 'Chaika'. This was the first destruction of aircraft of this type in history. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the HUR.

According to inkorr.com: The Be-12 'Chaika' amphibious aircraft is designed for combating submarines and equipped with expensive equipment for this purpose. During the attack on Crimea, in addition to destroying two Be-12 aircraft, the intelligence officers also managed to damage a Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the Russian occupiers.

Be-12: characteristics and use

The Be-12 aircraft has the following specifications: fuselage length - 30 meters, wingspan - 30 meters, maximum takeoff weight - 36 tons, possible payload up to 3000 kg, patrol speed - up to 320 km/h, and maximum speed - up to 550 km/h. It can fly up to 4000 km, with a patrol radius of about 600-650 km.

Experts note that the characteristic 'amphibian' for the Be-12 is conditional. Due to technical problems, pilots do not risk taking these aircraft off the water and only use 'land' airfields for takeoff.

This event in occupied Crimea indicates that some groups refuse to continue cooperating with the Russian occupiers. The attack on the Russian Be-12 'Chaika' amphibious aircraft, which are used against submarines, is an important indicator of the lack of support from militants in occupied territories.

Thus, this action confirms the growing activity of Ukrainian forces in ensuring security in the region. It also highlights the importance of technological development and military strategy in countering aggression. The gradual destruction of the enemy's infrastructure can significantly affect the balance of power in this region.
