Whitaker emphasized that this reflects Washington’s expectation for a more active European role in regional security.

The Critical Role of International Support

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha also underscored the importance of global backing, stating that 'Kyiv will work with partners to strengthen air defense.' This highlights the urgent need to bolster Ukraine’s defensive capabilities in the face of military threats.

As a result, the NATO summit in Ankara will serve as a key platform for discussing further aid to Ukraine and enhancing cooperation among allies.

This gathering could mark a pivotal moment in shaping the international support strategy for Ukraine, as it will determine not only financial assistance but also the political will of allies to intensify efforts against aggression. Amid rising security concerns in Europe, the involvement of the U.S. and European nations in backing Ukraine is crucial for regional stability.
