The USA intercepted conversations of Iranian officials about the minor consequences of the strikes.
American intelligence, which attacked nuclear facilities in Iran, obtained interesting information - they overheard conversations of high-ranking officials in the country. It turned out that the damage from the attacks was not as significant as the Iranians expected. Trump acknowledged the wiretapping, but denied the Iranian reports about the consequences of the strikes, claiming that the facilities were destroyed and need to be restored.
The permanent representative of Iran to the UN, Amir Saeed Iravani, said that despite everything, uranium enrichment will not stop, as it corresponds to international agreements.
Ayatollah Khamenei responded to Trump, maintaining that Iran will not concede and any attacks will have their consequences. Trump, for his part, said he would consider lifting sanctions against Iran in the event of peaceful behavior from Tehran.
The impact of the attacks on US-Iran relations
The attacks on nuclear facilities in Iran triggered new statements and tension in the relations between the countries. However, both sides continue to seek ways for possible interaction even amidst tensions.
