Escalating Strikes on Iran: US and Israel Intensify Campaign to Dismantle Missile Capabilities.
US-Israel Joint Military Campaign Against Iran
According to UATV: The United States and Israel are escalating their joint military campaign against Iran, targeting the destruction of Tehran's missile infrastructure and aiming to ensure the country remains free of nuclear weapons. Now in its third week, the operation is set to intensify as both nations plan heavier strikes on facilities tied to Iran's military network.
White House Chief Donald Trump expressed confidence that the mission's objectives are within reach, stating:
“We are very close to achieving our goals as we consider scaling back our massive military efforts in the Middle East against Iran's terrorist regime.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also emphasized that “Iran can no longer develop ballistic missiles or enrich uranium.”
Actions and International Reactions
As part of the operation, on March 20, the US released footage of a strike on an Iranian facility in Khajiabad. On the night of March 21, Israel launched attacks on targets inside Iran as well as on the Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon. Israeli Intelligence Minister Israel Katz stated that “the intensity of strikes carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the US Armed Forces against the Iranian terrorist regime and its supporting infrastructure will be significantly increased.”
Additionally, the US has initiated a clearance operation in the Strait of Hormuz. In response to the escalating conflict, several countries have declared their readiness to help ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz, including:
- United Kingdom
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Japan
- Canada
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also expressed Ukraine's willingness to join joint security initiatives aimed at stabilizing the Middle East as quickly as possible.
This US-Israeli campaign underscores the rising tensions across the region, which could significantly impact global politics and security. The involvement of international partners in securing the Strait of Hormuz highlights that the situation is a growing concern not only for the parties directly involved but for the broader world community. Moving forward, the unfolding events will require close monitoring and diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation of violence.
