Iskander Launchers and Storage Facility Hit by Ukrainian Special Ops in Occupied Crimea.
Ukraine Pushes Occupiers Out of Crimea – Latest Updates
According to TSN.ua: During the night leading into Saturday, units from the Deep Strike division of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) carried out a successful operation in temporarily occupied Crimea. They struck multiple launchers of the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, along with a dedicated storage facility for these launchers, causing significant damage to enemy assets.
One Iskander launcher was destroyed near the village of Vyshneve, located on Russian-occupied territory. Additionally, the operation identified and hit a storage site for Iskander launchers in the settlement of Kurortne, also situated within Crimea. These strikes are part of a broader Ukrainian effort to degrade Russian military capabilities in the region.
Escalation of Combat Operations
This attack comes amid heightened activity in the area. On March 14, Deep Strike SOF units targeted the Kavkaz seaport in the town of Chushka, located on the Russian side of the Kerch Strait. Notably, the Kavkaz port lies nearly 300 kilometers from the front line, underscoring the extended reach of Ukrainian forces.
Earlier, on February 14–15, explosions were reported near Kerch and on the opposite shore of the Kerch Strait, indicating an intensification of combat operations in this strategically vital region. These events confirm that Ukrainian forces continue to execute effective missions against Russian occupiers, aiming to reclaim control over temporarily seized territories.
The operations conducted by Ukraine’s special forces highlight the growing effectiveness and range of the country’s military capabilities in the region. By destroying key components of Russian military infrastructure in Crimea, Ukrainian forces demonstrate a strategic advantage that could significantly influence the conflict’s trajectory. These actions also serve as a clear signal to the international community about the urgent need for continued support of Ukraine in its fight to restore territorial integrity.
