Ukraine Reports 73 Daily Combat Clashes, Destroying 10 Russian Tanks and 1,470 Soldiers.
Frontline Operations on July 15
According to UATV: On July 15, Ukrainian and Russian forces engaged in 73 combat clashes, highlighting the ongoing intensity of hostilities. Russian troops are conducting assaults near the Pokrovsk axis, but Ukrainian units are holding the line and inflicting heavy casualties. According to reports, the settlement of Konstantinovka remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed the following Russian equipment and personnel:
- 10 Russian tanks,
- 6 armored combat vehicles,
- 42 artillery systems,
- 5 multiple rocket launchers,
- 1 air defense system.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, total Russian military losses have exceeded 1,423,000 soldiers. Ukrainian defense units have successfully neutralized enemy attempts to breach positions near Dobropolia.
“The enemy is constantly trying to infiltrate the city with its groups, but Ukraine’s defense forces are actively locating and eliminating them,” said a soldier with the call sign 'Yizhak'.
Technical Aspects of the Conflict
For context, a single Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter costs over $15 million, while a Ukrainian FPV drone is priced at under $400. This stark contrast highlights the resource disparity in the conflict. However, representatives of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces note that
“destroying a helicopter with an FPV drone is a technically complex task.”
Overall, the frontline situation remains tense, but Ukrainian forces continue to execute their missions, dealing significant blows to the enemy.
The current combat activity reflects sustained high-intensity warfare. Successful Ukrainian defenses along several axes, particularly near Pokrovsk and Dobropolia, demonstrate their ability to adapt to evolving battlefield conditions. Meanwhile, Russia’s substantial losses underscore the effectiveness of Ukraine’s defensive strategy, which could have important implications for the conflict’s trajectory.
