The Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention has published a list of safe bathing beaches. Dozens of areas in Odesa, Chornomorsk, and the southern region are permitted for recreation, while some popular places remain closed for now.

This was reported by the Odesa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Specialists determined, after laboratory testing of waters, that it is safe to swim at the beaches in Odesa:

  • Red Line
  • 'Portofino'
  • 'Resort'
  • 'Ithaca'
  • Inclusive beach 'Bezmezhtia'
  • Café at Small Fountain
  • 'Grand Pettin'
  • 'Cuba'
  • 'Kaleton'
  • Municipal beach 'Chayka'
  • 'Segal Beach'
  • Municipal beach 'Resort'
  • 'Public'
  • 'Underhill'
  • 'Liberty'
  • 'Ibiza'
  • 'Varadero'
  • 'Korablik'
  • 'Kiwi'
  • 5 areas 'Solo Beach'
  • 'Coconut' and 'Coconut-Resort'
  • two zones between traverses No. 14 and No. 15 of the beach 'Golden Coast'
  • Langeron
  • Municipal beach for people with disabilities (11th station of the Big Fountain).

Normal water levels at Odesa beaches

In Chornomorsk, the Central City Beach has been recognized as safe for swimming, and in the Izmail district - the village of Prymorske. However, it should be remembered that after rains or storms, the situation may change, so it is important to follow the news from local authorities.

Beaches where swimming is prohibited

Some beaches remain closed despite the normal water condition. These include:

  • Sychiavka,
  • Hrybivka ('Zahar' and 'Lahuna'),
  • Prymorske ('Katran'),
  • Lyman ('Raseika'),
  • Kurortne,
  • Velyka Balabanivka,
  • Zatoka.

It is also important to remember that during storms, elevated waves, or safety threats, swimming at the beach may be dangerous.
