An investigation is ongoing in Volyn regarding the circumstances of the Mirage-2000 fighter jet crash that occurred on July 22 during a combat flight at a military airfield. According to the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), the pilot noticed a malfunction in the electronics after takeoff, but managed to save his life: the aircraft landed in a flooded crater, and the pilot ejected in time.As a result of the aviation incident, no one was injured, but a criminal proceeding has been initiated for violating flight rules. SBI specialists examined the scene, seized documents, conducted witness interrogations, and are preparing to analyze data from the flight recorder. It sounds like an adequate response to an accident that could have ended in disaster.
