The name of the soldier who shot down the Su-25 with a Stinger MANPADS near Toretsk has become known.
Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft. The enemy aircraft was downed by a shot from a MANPADS fired by a soldier from Dubenshchyna. This was reported by the Rivne Regional Military Administration.

The agency reported that the gunner, soldier Pavlo Zhalko from the 57th Separate Battalion of the 104th Territorial Defense Brigade of the Rivne Region, together with the anti-aircraft missile unit of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, instantly detected the target, calculated the course, and launched a missile from the Stinger MANPADS.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian servicemen have shot down 369 enemy aircraft and 331 helicopters.
