Over 57,000 customers in England and Wales were left without electricity, leading to disruptions in the operation of railways and airports. In Scotland, more than half a meter of snow has fallen, causing hundreds of schools to close.

In Moldova, about 600 schools have been closed, and in Romania, thousands of homes were left without electricity. In the Balkan countries, the water level after the floods is beginning to recede, but warnings about snow and ice remain in effect. In Serbia, some areas have been without electricity for several days.

In Hungary, Lake Balaton has completely frozen for the first time since 2017 due to several days of intense frost. Forecasts indicate that further frosts may strengthen the ice cover of the lake.

According to reports, the weather in Europe has sharply deteriorated. In southeastern England, a temperature of -12.5°C has been recorded, while in the eastern regions of France and the Bavarian Alps, frosts have reached -22°C.
