Shooting at the Border — Arrest with Pursuit in Odesa Region.
Six men from different regions attempted to illegally cross the border and enter Transnistria. However, in Odesa, they were spotted by border guards using a drone, and gunfire was opened to facilitate their arrest.
The border guards of the Podilsk detachment identified ten men of conscription age who were moving towards Moldova. The entire group was detained on the outskirts of a village in the Rozdilna district. It turned out that these individuals were from Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Odesa, Rivne, and Kyiv regions and had attempted to illegally cross the border. They were aided by an administrator who guided them through social networks, and each man paid a certain amount to the organizer. During the arrest, they attempted to flee but were stopped by warning shots fired into the air.
Those detained have been charged with administrative offenses for attempting to illegally cross the border. They face a fine of up to 8500 hryvnias. The cases have been forwarded to court.
The illegal attempt by Ukrainians to cross the border leads them to confront the law. The border guards successfully maintain security at the border and prevent illegal activities, thanks to timely measures and accurate responses to violations. Offenders are expected to face consequences for the attempt to illegally cross the border.
