Shooting at McDonald's in Cherkasy: police detained the offender.
On Thursday, August 7, a shooting occurred at McDonald's in Cherkasy. Subsequently, law enforcement officers detained a man who fired several shots inside the fast-food establishment.
This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram.
Shooting at McDonald's - how the offender will be punished
Today, August 7, an unknown man entered the fast food establishment McDonald's in Cherkasy. He opened fire, injured himself, and then locked himself in the restroom.
The KORD special unit quickly detained the shooter, and no other people were harmed. The injured man was taken to the hospital.
According to police information, the incident occurred around 11:00 AM local time. Police immediately intervened and evacuated visitors and staff from the establishment, as well as secured the area.
After an hour, KORD special forces detained the shooter. He is currently held by law enforcement agencies and is receiving medical assistance.
Previously, it was reported that the police conducted a large-scale operation due to threats from an armed man in the center of Cherkasy.
It should be noted that recently there was a shooting in Kharkiv, during which a man opened fire on a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The most important thing here is the promised ability of law enforcement to respond quickly to such situations, which helps avoid more serious consequences and potential casualties. Thanks to timely response and professionalism of the police, it was possible to quickly detain the offender and prevent casualties among innocent people.
