Students under the age of 25 who change their place of study may be mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If a student can be recognized as fit for military service, for example, if they have the status of 'limited fitness', then after being expelled from one higher education institution and before being enrolled in another, they may have to serve in the army.Lawyer Yuriy Aivazian explained that students with this status may be denied deferral from conscription and may be mobilized. Also, such students may find it quite difficult to obtain a deferral due to a disruption in the sequence of education. Therefore, if a student is not yet 25 years old, it is better for them to prepare for the possibility of military service if they intend to change their place of study.
