Court Set Bail for Former Deputy of Reznichenko Bespalchuk.
The High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 15 million UAH on the former deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Maksym Bespalchuk. This was reported by the NABU Daily public page.
Maksym Bespalchuk is suspected of involvement in the case of the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko. Bespalchuk is also obliged to: surrender his foreign passports, wear an electronic bracelet, and not communicate with the persons involved in the case.
The High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 30 million UAH for Valentyn Reznichenko, and also imposed a number of obligations on him. According to Judge Olha Postolyuk, Reznichenko is required to surrender his passports for traveling abroad, not leave his residence, and appear upon the summons of the investigation.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office exposed a large-scale scheme in the road sector, which resulted in losses to the state budget amounting to over 286 million UAH. The persons who have been suspected, including the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration and his former deputy, the former head of the road department of the regional state administration, and the head of a business entity, will be charged accordingly.
According to the pre-trial investigation, Reznichenko and Kolomoyets increased funding for local roads, and companies associated with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration received a significant amount of funds from the budget. The transfer of these funds to related enterprises may indicate the fictitious nature of these companies.
