Supermarkets Set New Prices for Grains: How Much are Buckwheat, Rice, and Pasta.
Prices for Buckwheat and Rice Increased in Ukraine
According to Minfin portal data, prices for buckwheat, rice, and pasta have increased in Ukraine. This has caused concern among many Ukrainians as grains and pasta products are a staple in their grocery basket.
According to the latest data, in October 2024 there is a slight increase in the prices of some basic products compared to September. For example, the average price for buckwheat is 28.57 UAH per kilogram, which is slightly higher than the September figure.
Regarding rice, the situation is even worse. The price for long rice increased from 56.79 UAH to 58.57 UAH per kilogram, parboiled long rice rose from 66.60 UAH to 74.10 UAH per kilogram, and the price for round rice is 69.47 UAH compared to September's 68.59 UAH.
Pasta 'Feathers' have almost not changed their price, its average cost remains at the level of 34.43 UAH per kilogram. However, it is worth noting that there is a significant difference in prices between different stores.
Currently, prices for basic food products continue to rise, which affects the budgets of Ukrainians.
