Scorched Earth Tactics: Russian KABs Destroy Kupiansk.
The head of the Kupiansk City Military Administration, Andriy Besedin, reported a worrying situation in the city following Russian airstrike attacks. According to him, Russian forces are using guided aerial bombs weighing up to one and a half tons, causing significant destruction within a radius of one kilometer, especially in the central part of Kupiansk.
"Russian troops use powerful aerial bombs weighing up to one and a half tons, which destroy everything within a radius of one kilometer, especially in the central part of Kupiansk," Besedin said on the air of the "My-Ukraine" TV channel.
According to Besedin, the Left Bank area of the city suffered the most, being almost completely destroyed as a result of constant strikes with less powerful aerial bombs—250-500 kg.
He also emphasized that all critical and civilian facilities, including enterprises, were destroyed. It is described that Russian troops are employing a "scorched earth" tactic.
The situation in Kupiansk remains very critical, and the city continues to suffer destruction due to Russian airstrikes.
